Something
woke me. I looked at the clock: 3:00
A.M. I lay down and tried to go back to sleep.
However, a strange feeling filled the room as if an intruder lurked at
the foot
of my bed. In the wispy nighttime darkness, I sat up and looked beyond
my feet
to the end of the bed. There was no one there.
I fell back on the
pillow and closed my eyes, drifting off to sleep.
But there it was again. My eyes popped open, I sat up, and I looked
hard all
around the room. Nothing. I let out the breath I’d been holding and lay
back
down again.
I wondered if the
visitor was my ex-husband whose
spirit had come to me just before he died of cancer. Whatever it was,
this
presence felt much more powerful.
John, sleeping
peacefully beside me, gave me the strength to deal with
my mounting fear. I snuggled up close to him. But I couldn’t sleep.
I had the strange
impression that the visitor wore what appeared to be
a deer mask and antlers. It looked like a disguise. I lay in the dark
and tried
to figure out what was going on. It felt like something or someone was
trying
to communicate with me.
My fear was becoming
difficult to manage. It was only with restraint
that I did not wake John. I forced myself to take a slow, deep breath
and
realized that although I felt power and, in reaction, fear, I did not
feel
evil.
I knew what the dark
force felt like, from my encounter with Satan in
the first life regression. This was different. I took another deep
breath and
felt myself relax somewhat. Whatever it was, the being was not fighting
me or
dragging me down as Satan had. In addition, despite its vibration of
power, the
visitor’s attitude was also tinged with something that almost felt like
sorrow.
My inner eye saw, at
the foot of the bed, a being standing upright
like a man, wearing a mask like a buck or stag. Why the disguise?
Perhaps so I
wouldn’t be afraid. That was the clue that solved the mystery. I
realized that
my visitor was Pan, lord of the woodlands, wild animals, fields, and
shepherds.
No wonder he had to be in disguise. Pan is often depicted as having the
furry
legs, horns and ears of a goat. This image has also been used to
portray the
Devil.
Evidently the early
Christian church wanted to frighten people away
from the nature religions by making Satan in the image of Pan. However,
I knew
that Satan was a dark force, not a being with cloven hooves, horns, and
a tail.
Moreover, according to
mythological legend, it is Pan who plays his
pipes so that nature works in harmony. For sure, if I had awakened to
the
church image of Satan standing at the foot of my bed, I would have
screamed in
terror. No wonder he was in disguise.
I had first heard of
Pan from the Findhorn community in Scotland where
humans work in cooperation with the elemental forces of nature to
produce
fantastic gardens. They had discovered that the natural world operated
entirely
under God’s will, unlike humanity which has free will. One of their
group,
Ogilvie Crombie, called Roc, was communicating with and seeing nature
spirits.
In The
Findhorn Garden by
the Findhorn Community, Roc says that Pan declares himself to be the
servant of
God. Pan also vows that he and his subjects, the nature kingdom, would
willingly come to the aid of humanity, even though mankind continually
abuses
nature, if humanity would only believe in the power of the nature
kingdom and
ask the natural world to help mankind.
When I first read this
I was filled with hope. We had but to ask Pan
for help, and nature would clean the Earth for us.
As I lay in bed
remembering what I knew of Pan, I was gratified to
realize that the figure was no longer frightening to me. What would Pan
want
with me? I had no idea. But, like it or not, I would not get any more
sleep
until I found out.
And so, not wishing to
disturb my husband’s sleep, I grabbed my robe
and sat in our bathroom writing what I was hearing from Pan.
This writing was so
much easier than my own. It turned out that Pan
was responding to a subconscious concern of mine. The previous night,
before
going to bed, John and I had watched one segment of a television series
on
ancient prophecies.
This program had deeply
affected me because it addressed the upheavals
alluded to in my hypnosis sessions. However, most of the predictions
described
on the program, whether they were given by psychics such as
Nostradamus, Edgar
Cayce, and Gordon-Michael Scallion, or the apparition of the Virgin
Mary who
spoke to the children of Fatima, or the Hopi Indian Nation, or even
scientists
predicting global warming, all painted a future that was very grim
which
included earthquakes, hurricanes, the end of the world as we know it,
famines,
people crying for water, New York and Los Angeles submerged under
water, etc.
But I had just seen a
future that looked golden. Although there would
be difficulties, represented by the swirling morass of evil, it would
just fall
away, and the Golden Ones would survive to bring in a New Age. It was
as if the
earth changes were meant as an opportunity for cleansing and for
bringing in a
new life. Therefore, as I’d fallen asleep that night, I had wondered if
I might
actually have something to tell the world.
And so, when I finally
got my pen and pad and took the time to listen
to the thoughts coming from the antlered being, the first thing I heard
was
that just as we humans are feeling despondent as we come into these
times of
change, Pan, too, is in despair.
He is so discouraged
because those who in their fear and greed may
cause nuclear holocaust will also destroy the natural world, which is
under
Pan’s dominion. The deer in the forest, the mouse in the field, the
butterfly,
the hummingbird, the flowers, the plants that create our food, the
leaves that
produce the oxygen we breathe, the rocks that purify our water, will
also be
destroyed. These are all of Pan’s charges.
Furthermore, he did not
like the wimpy, wishy-washy, namby-pamby way I
had started the book. I should be more forceful.
The following is
information as I heard it from Pan. This is how he
felt I should start the book. (The “I” refers to me, Carole.):
“This book is written
for
the sincere ones. It is time for them to awaken. These are the people
who, in Atlantis, were given or took upon themselves
the task of preparing the Earth for a new Golden Age—the thousand years
of
peace on Earth. These, the Golden Ones, are here now, through
reincarnation,
ready and waiting to be awakened.
The time is now.
Awaken!
“This is that time for
which we prepared in Atlantis—again a time of heightened
frequency of earth energy. The monument known today as the Great
Pyramid was
positioned so that it would be in exactly the correct alignment with
the stars
to be activated in the New Age.
“It is that time again
to prepare a new race, this time the Fifth Root
Race, for the new Earth is about to be born. We are in the throes of
her labor.
“There are those among
us who have the memory, since Atlantean times,
of what to do. There are many people throughout the world who have the
knowledge. It is my place to awaken them. I was given the task to know
when the
time had come.
“I am only the bell,
the alarm clock, the reveille horn that says:
Awaken. Now
is the time. The Earth needs you. This is the time that was foretold.
This is
the time that your life is about. Awake!
“This is what the earth
cleansing is about. When it’s all over, only
the Golden Ones will remain.
“These predictions you
hear of terrible apocalypses, Armageddon, the
end of time, appear so terrifying. My message is of hope, but it is of
a
different type of hope. It is about the birth of a new world on the
Earth.
“The hope is in the vision of the
sincere people I saw—hundreds and
thousands of them. They don’t know what to do yet, but they will when
the time
is right.
